The Tekov Region Tourism Organization (in slovak: OOCR Tekov) was established in 2017. Its founders are towns and villages municipalities and various organizations operating in the Lower Hron River basin and on the southern slopes of the Štiavnica Hills and the Ipeľ Hills. The organization’s main purpose was to support the development of tourism in the Tekov Region and the future development of the area.
The organization’s goal is to build tourism infrastructure, identify natural, historical, cultural, and sporting attractions and promote them, as well as to support local products and producers and thematically focused regional events.
