Slovak Safari

Exotic animals don’t live only in far-off countries – you can find traces of them just a stone’s throw from Levice, in the village of Turá. A family’s dream of creating a park of exotic animals gradually grew into an exceptional tourist attraction. And the very first resident of this unconventional safari was none other than the king of the animals himself – a lion …

Over time, more animals joined them. Their original owners could not provide them with proper care, so they found a new home in the exotic park. At the time of its opening, it was home to the largest number of big cats in Central Europe. Lions, tigers, jaguars, leopards, the Bengal cat, and the beast of the Tatras – the lynx – while in the spacious enclosures you’ll also be captivated by zebras, horses, camels, as well as llamas, ponies and ostriches.

Watch the sweet, endearing creatures – meerkats – and brighten your day. Children will love the hands-on feeding of selected animals, as well as the sight of little rabbits, hamsters, and the increasingly popular capybaras.

During the main season, a large children’s playground awaits you, with numerous play elements and inflatable castles. You can also watch the animals from benches in the rest areas. During the main season, several fun and educational programmes are prepared for children.

So don’t hesitate – come and discover the exotic wildlife of the Tekov Region.
